Plants, rocks and minerals

Again, second-grade elementary school students have something to show us. This time is a mega -poster about plants, rocks and minerals.

Check it out!

Our galaxy and our planet

Second-grade primary education students have discovered how many planets our galaxy has. And this is not the only thing. They already know the two movements that affect the Earth.

Ways to save energy

Fifth-grade primary education students have made a lot of panels that show tips to save energy. All these ways emerged through a brainstorming.

And you, did you know all these valuable tips?

Food Pyramid (Nutrition)

Food Pyramid is a very famous way to represent the optimal number of servings to be eaten each day through a pyramid-shaped diagram. Second year's primary students have constructed a big poster with real photos about all the basic food.

Do you follow the rules of the food pyramid in your balanced diet?

Sectors of Economy

The most classical breakdown of economic activity distinguishes three sectors: primary, secondary and tertiary. Second year's primary students have made some posters about the retrieval and production of raw materials (primary sector). The other one is related to supplying public services.

The three R's: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle

Last week, fourth grade students learnt three great ways to eliminate waste and protect the environment: Reducing, Reusing and Recyling.

Reducing is cutting back on the amount of trash we generate.

Reusing is thinking a new way to use trash avoiding to throw it out.

Recycling consists on using trash to remake new goods that can be sold again.

Everyone can see the posters we have made in pairs, displayed on the first floor of the school. In these posters we give some tips to protect the planet.

Take a look and put it on practice!

Egyptian houses and food pyramids

First grade students are discovering ancient Egypt within the 2016 school project: "Nuestras civilizaciones: Tu mirada".

Today, people in our country live in houses, flats, cottages... but, Where did the ancient Egyptians live? Egyptian houses were made of bricks formed from straw and Nile mud.

Take a look at the Egiptian houses of our students!

But this is not all about Egypt. The Pharaohs, the rulers of Egypt, built the pyramids as tombs for themselves. As we were studying food, we took the opportunity to build a paper pyramid. In this pyramid, we paint the number of serving of each food we should eat to have a healthy diet.
